About The Trust

The Mohamed Sathak Trust is an educational body established in 1973 by the philanthropic Mohamed Sathak Family of Kilakarai with the noble aim of promoting the cause of Higher Education.

About The College

The objective of the Mohamed Sathak Trust is to promote Technical, Scientific and Management Education and to train the students belonging to all levels of society, particularly the youth of the backward communities, to meet the Technological and Managerial requirements of the country.

With the sole aim of promoting Teacher Education, the Mohamed Sathak Trust approached the National Council for Teacher Education, Govt. of India(NCTE), the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and the University of Madras for establishing a teacher training college at Padur, Kancheepuram District.

The Govt of Tamil Nadu accepted the proposal of the Mohamed Sathak Teacher Training College under the self financing scheme, the NCTE accorded the recognition for the B.Ed. course with an in take of 100 students from the academic year 2005-2006 and the University of Madras granted the affiliation for the same.

From the date of its inception Mohamed Sathak Teacher Training College has been meticulously planning to prepare teachers in an ideal manner. Though 2005-2006 is the maiden run for Mohamed Sathak Teacher Training College towards the goal of teacher preparation, it is posed for a grand success in the beginning itself with the commendable infrastructural facilities, library and Lab equipments, human resource, etc.
